Tea drinking is an integral part of Chinese culture. Since ancient times, the simple pleasure of family and friends gathering to drink tea has been practised to promote health and well-being. Savour the delicate fragrances, imagining yourself as an ancient scholar at leisure in their garden-home!

A tea ceremony offers a more in-depth experience of Chinese tea and culture. From one infusion to the other, sip by sip – observe, how the taste and aroma unfold and evolve, and how it connects to our body and mind.

Private Tea Ceremony rates include Garden admission, 1.5 hour tea ceremony with a certified tea artist, hand-made Chinese tea snacks, a traditional Chinese teacup, teacup pouch, and 15% off Garden products in the Eight Treasures Shop.

TEA ARTIST AND EXPERT

Lillian Li is a young talent with a passion to pure teas and tea art. She was born and raised in a very traditional Chinese family in Beijing, China, and she is very keen on traditional Chinese culture. Her late grandfather is a reputable traditional Chinese medicine doctor who taught her Chinese culture and how to keep good health.

She went to a college focused on Chinese culture to learn tea tasting and tea arts and got the Certificate of Tea Tasting and Tea Ceremony (both at senior level). Lillian was among the top 12 in International Tea-brewing Contest in 2015. During the 13 years of practicing tea tasting and tea ceremony, she travelled to more than 40 countries, including major tea-growing regions in southern China, Taiwan, Japan, India and Sri Lanka.

After moving to Vancouver in 2016, she made up her mind to thoroughly dedicate towards tea aesthetics and to bring the purest teas, most traditional tea culture and a healthier lifestyle to North America.
