Due to popular demand, we've added an afternoon session!

Join us for a special holiday workshop, where you’ll create a traditional Filipino Parol—a bamboo lantern symbolizing light, hope, and community. Guided by artist and designer Diane Espiritu, in this 3 hour workshop you’ll learn to build and decorate your own Parol with handmade paper, inspired by the Filipino tradition of illuminating December nights. All materials to build your Parol will be provided.

Diane’s workshops offer more than just a crafting experience—they’re a space for mindfulness, connection, and creativity. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to craft, connect, and celebrate culture in a welcoming space.

Admission to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is included with your ticket, allowing you to enjoy the serene beauty of the garden before or after the workshop.

This workshop requires the use of a hot glue gun and therefore is suitable for ages 10 and up.
