Join professional filmmakers from The Cinematheque April 22nd (4:30pm to 6:30pm) and learn the basics of visual storytelling !
This hands-on workshop will introduce participants to the key concepts of movie making, from pre-production to shooting to editing. Drawing inspiration from Chinese cinema and the principles of the classical Chinese garden, participants will learn how to frame, compose, and combine their shots to create a compelling story.
We will use readily available equipment and apps, including participants’ own smartphones. Participants will use the location of the Garden to apply their skills and work through hands-on visual storytelling exercises.
Equipment needed: A smartphone with a working camera.
This workshop is intended for adults, children, and families (ages 8+)
